It has been a while….. It’s because we forgot about the Steam news feature……
But here we are again……

Okay, here is an update for you!

No, it’s not another game. You can leave angry comments all you want, I’ve taught myself how to not read so it won't be an issue for me. If you have been following along on social media or perhaps any major news outlet, you would know that we have released the game on consoles. However because this is Steam we must respect that we should not be advertising the game on other platforms. So, for this reason, I must insist that you do NOT purchase the game[frogdetective.net] on any of the three[www.nintendo.com] popular[store.playstation.com] consoles[www.xbox.com] that we have released it on. DON’T!!! Guys seriously… Seriously I’m not even joking dude… It’s not funny, put your credit card down.

That’s news #1. Second news… Related to the first news… Is that we have a physical edition of Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery coming out! You can pre-order on Fangamer here[www.fangamer.com]. But again I must insist that you IMMEDIATELY throw away the cartridge if this Steam post has inspired you to purchase it. And then buy it again on Steam for good measure. Just to be safe, you get it. Fangamer also has nice things like shirts and plushies if that’s your thing.

[www.fangamer.com]Third news, relating to physical items available for purchase. Dan Golding’s amazing soundtrack is coming to Vinyl[www.iam8bit.com]! You can put it in your ears, your record player, your fridge, do whatever you want within local laws. It’s a really pretty green vinyl with a nice cover made by artist Natalie Andrewson[www.natalie-andrewson.com]. So if you’re into beautiful tunes this one's for you.

[www.iam8bit.com]As far as announcements about any games we’re working on etc, Grace (me) is taking a big break from everything and enjoying living in a post-frog detective world. Tom is working on his own projects and helping out with Olivia Haines’ Surf Club, which looks incredible. I simply cannot wait! I'm so excited to announce that we've been working hard on Frog Detective 3: Corruption at Cowboy County and we plan to launch this year!! This game is going to be a really special one. You can wishlist the game right here!

After such a difficult year it was hard to find the energy for the third instalment. Things have been steadily getting better here in Melbourne Australia since the beginning of the year, and we've been able to get so much done. I'm pumped to share it with you. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding while we've been working on the project, it's been really motivating to see your enthusiasm over the past year and a half.

I hope you're looking forward to it as much as I am!!

Oh my gosh!!! Hi everybody!!!

We have been working so hard all year to finish this silly game, and it's out now. It's a bit longer than the first one (but not by too much!) and has a lot of surprises that I think you will enjoy.

We made the first game with literally 0 budget and now that we've got SUPERHOT on board we've had so much more time and freedom to create something we're 100% proud of. It's always very scary releasing a new game, but doubly so when it's a sequel to something that was received so well already. I appreciate the community that has sprung up around this series and I feel like so much of my anxiety releasing this has just been because I want you to enjoy it as much as the first game. I think/hope you will. It's so silly!!!

HUGE thanks to my partner in crime Thomas Bowker who is responsible for so much of this game. There's a reason the title doesn't say Grace Bruxner anymore! I really truly see this as both of ours, as Tom is just as invested in the world of Frog Detective as me. He's an amazing designer, tech artist, and programmer. This game 100% would not exist without him. Thank you Tom!!!

Also a HUGE thanks to Dan Golding, who Tom and I have agreed is the most talented member of worm club. You'll understand what we mean when you hear the game. It's beautiful and way too high quality for this game but I wouldn't have it any other way. Dan joined Frog Detective when all I had to show was a waving monkey on an island. Thanks for believing in us, Dan. We'll obviously be devastated when you leave the project to work on the next Star Wars score, but it's inevitable and we've made our peace with it.

VERYCOOL update + SUPERHOT news!

Hello Frog Friends!

I have some exciting news to share! We've just updated the game with some juicy new UI and performance improvements. I have also changed something very important... Let me know if you spot it! Something is significantly different... Hehehehehe...

Anyway, enough of that nonsense. The exciting thing I've been wanting to tell you is that we've signed with the company SUPERHOT!!! They make the game called, well, SUPERHOT! They've just started offering funding and support for tiny indies like me, and Frog Detective was the first game to be signed to their new label, how cool is that??

Tom and I have been holding onto this news for months now and we're so excited to finally share it with you. This means we have money to make more Frog Detective games and focus on them full time! The Haunted Island was made while I was juggling university and working part-time at the wonderful studio League of Geeks. In April, I left to focus on Frog Detective, and formed a studio called WORM CLUB!! That's when SUPERHOT approached us and asked if we would be interested in working with them.

So what does this mean for the games? Are there guns in Frog Detective now?!

Nope! SUPERHOT is simply giving us funding and advice and helping us with any connections we need to do exciting things with the series. They've been so generous with their time so far, and I am so, so grateful for it. The games will still be silly and weird like the first one, but since we have more time to dedicate to making them, we'll have time to make them as perfectly as we want to. We're not dealing with any publisher-imposed deadlines or creative overhauls-- we're doing exactly what we did before, but this time we can order food delivery and worry less about our bank accounts! I hope this clears up any questions you may have, but if you're confused or want to know more, please ask in the comments of this post or in the forums! Tom and I are here to answer any questions.

Hi folks!!

The game has been out for over a day now and I just wanna say a huge thank you for all of the kind posts, reviews, messages and art that have come out in the last 24 hours. It's a great thing that a short and silly game like mine can safely have a home on Steam amongst larger and more complicated games.

Developing this game has been wonderful and I would like to acknowledge the hard work of Thomas Bowker who did the programming and tools development as well as the outline shader that has been super popular. Tom is an extremely good egg and deserves a bunch of credit. I would also like to thank Dan Golding for creating an iconic and catchy soundtrack. Every time I got a track from Dan I lost my dang mind!! He's a genius!!

I'm super excited to start work on the second game in the series. I hope I can get it to you very soon. :-)
