[Solved] So are mouse movements just not working?
Just started the game and got stuck playing a guitar because it prompts me to move my mouse down but nothing happens if I do. I find it hard to believe that the controls would just flat out not work months after release but I'm not finding any solution online. I don't have a controler so I really need a solution for this issue.

not just you, I'm just under 90 minutes into the game. the mouse BS gets worse. I'm about to get a refund because of just that issue.

This is probably resolved already but for anyone who is interested, if you see a White Dot, you have to left-click and drag towards it to activate the scene. If there's a prompt that has a mouse and a directional arrow, you have to hold both buttons on your mouse and drag where it tells you to drag.

So if you see an icon with a mouse on it with an arrow pointing down, hold both left and right-click and drag down. I haven't played with Mouse & Keyboard through the whole game yet so it might change, I'm currently doing the Duo Mode achievement, but so far this has been my experience. If it's a dot, left-click then drag towards it. If it's a mouse icon, hold both buttons then drag.

It's not a mouse control failure

Well I tried holding both keys and it still didn't do anything.

So just I tried it again and just on a hunch I increased my mouse sensitivity and it ACTUALLY WORKED. The game didn't recognize my mous movement because the MOUSE WAS TOO SLOW. So I guess the controls are not broken just poorly made but I can play the game now so I'm fine with it.

Sometimes it says to slide up or down + holding down with lmb and rmb. This might be an issue you have or will have. You have this circle thingy that shows you how centered the mouse is so if the mouse is in right side (or left) of the circle you'l have to slide your mouse to the right side of mousepad while holding the keys. For left vice versa and centered mouse icon dont matter

I was trying to play the demo to decide if I wanted to buy the full game and was so frustrated by the mouse/keyboard controls that I gave up and just ended the demo early. If I can't enjoy playing the game cause I'm sooo frustrated that the mouse won't work the way I need it to, then why play? I have an Alienware m15 laptop with an Alienware 610m mouse. The mouse is brand new and expensive, so I just dnt think my mouse is the issue... it's the game setup. I play ALOT of games with this mouse and NO issues with it at all with the current settings. They shld really fix the control issues for pc. If they fix it, I might buy the game. I only got to the part in the demo where she's running thru the woods and totally gave up. ESC and Exit game. Most games, I will get sucked in and can't stop playing. Not this game... quit early... too frustrating. The story-line seemed really cool though, so I'm totally disappointed that it didn't work properly so I cld enjoy the game.

This! This speaks from the bottom of my heart. I had the exact same issue. Adding insult to injury, the constantly automatic changing camera perspective causes the controls to change direction, too. I'm glad I tried the demo first. The controls with keyboard and mouse are just way too frustrating.

I just finished the game and no problems with controls. Ok, I'm used to games like FPS or Tomb Raiders, and there k+m are just perfect. With Dead Space thery were odd at the beginning and with this game they are similarly odd. But it's easy! I have a mouse that can increase sensitivity just buy pressing a button on its back, so maximum sensitivity and it's done, no problem at all! The game is AWESOME.

This works! Thank you for creating this and solving it all by yourself.

It became obvious right on menu screen that this console kiddy game never should have been ported to PC by the morons who made it. Feels like early console ports where instead of actually porting it to windows code they built an interface shell around the game to make it function on a PC.
This lazy dev stunt ALWAYS results in a game with severe input problems because they are basically running the controls through what amounts to a filter causing input loss. (slow mouse response, laggy mouse, key presses/mouse input not registering occasionally/frequently)

So is it at all possible with a mouse pad instead of a mouse
