You can rewind the footage to see how this vehicle was constructed.
You can also complete sidemissions to increase your build limit and earn more parts.
In regards to your vehicle getting stuck on terrain: you can press the * button to reorient your vehicle. If you're not in combat, you can also enter a build mode and shift+WASD to move your machine away.
I have a suggestion for you since this game just came off early access and I see that a developer responded (which is cool that you did BTW ).
How about when a person chooses any mission you have the option to do easy, normal, hard and maybe "extreme" and then the more difficult you choose the more reward (budget/unlocks). I personally gave up on some of the side missions after attempting multiple times. I got frustrated and I'm sure many others will too. I think that would make for better game play if you gave us options like drop down to easy if it's too difficult (less enemies / weaker enemies, etc).
Back to the wheels. I understand the rainy, slippery roads causing traction issues but I think the wheels need more friction throughout the entire game. They slide around on dry ground too. Even the tracks, which have much more surface area then wheels, slide around too much. Tracks should be slower speed limits but better traction than wheels. They are meant for off-road applications.
Also it's not just sliding around turns, they spin out and you sit there waiting for them to finally get you moving and they don't allow for much traction climbing hills or going over rough ground. That also makes it frustrating when you are trying to maneuver and you slide down a hill and sit there at the bottom spinning your wheels because it won't climb back up. I think if the handling is improved then the game play will also improve.
Thank you for your reply and for the kind words! There are bigger wheels and tracks unlocked later in the campaign, it should be easier to navigate rough terrain with these - you can check them out in Creative Mode. In regards to friction of smaller wheels/tracks, we'll look into it. Modifying physics is difficult, even a tiny change can cause serious errors so it's not an easy fix but we'll try.
We'll look into the difficulty settings of individual missions based on your feedback. Can you specify, which mission spawned the 3 airships that destroyed your vehicle? A rough estimate will do, for instance, what were the previous missions leading up to the overly difficult one?
