Works like a charm!
I'm happy I helped someone :), enjoy the game.
The replay folder for me was blocking the clc command, so I needed to remove that temporarily. The upshot was that I could return it later and retain my replays, even though this operation eliminates other aspects of the save file (unlocked dolls and game modes).
Fortunately Hitogata Happa doesn't take that much to unlock the modes. Just 4 distinct clears to get the extra dolls and unlock Destiny 13. Still a good hour plus restarts though, and no guarantee it'll last very long.
On the bright side I found that just copying hhconfig.cfg from the game's install folder to the cloud save folder seems to get the game working again (if with a reset save) without most of the complexity of forcing Steam Cloud save corruption.
After you do something difficult or progress in Solo Voyage, my advice is to manually make backup copies of the hhconfig.cfg file from both places it is kept:
* The game's install directory: \steamapps\common\Hitogata Happa
* The local Steam Cloud folder: \userdata\[userid]\92210\remote
If (when) the save file gets corrupted and the game no longer starts, the solution that seems to be most effective for me is to:
1. Delete hhconfig.cfg from both of these locations.
2. Start the game up once to confirm it loads into the main menu again (and maybe reset the online Steam Cloud save?)
3. Delete hhconfig.cfg from both locations again.
4. Copy one of the old backups into the local Steam Cloud folder only, leaving none in the game's installation folder.
5. Start the game again.
For some reason restoring the game in the game's install directory either makes the startup failure return or makes the game treat it as a fresh save (I've had both happen).
This is just early experience having to restore a backup though. I may find more as I need to. If anyone else can provide any more information I'd be grateful.
