Unfortunately not all that good compared to Abbey's other games.

1. The mechanics are basic - while there is a "Rock-Paper-Scissors" mechanic like in REIS, here it is completely trivialized and has little to no effect, and most of the time it does it boils down to "extra damage".
   
2. The main way of progressing the characters is just raw stats instead of the abilities, some of which are just carbon copies of others, i.e. some mental class has "extra crit chance" dark ability, there will be another class with the same ability, but say life element instead.
   
3. The battles are RNG, which is ridiculous and spending resources for better abilities seems even more worthless.
   
4. The tenents have quite a few overlapping possible traditions.
   
5. Most of the traditions are trash, and one (Heavenly Art) is more or less a must.
   
6. The "innate" abilities some characters can have are mostly boring.
   
7. The UI is complete garbage:
   
   • You cannot go to the menu in many circumstances (e.g. in battles).
     
   • The prepare+selection button appears only after spending your dreams to boost up the characters you will send into the frail, so every time you have to additionally "plan" the battle and save your roster.
     
   • The speedup in battles doesn't work like 90% of the time for me.
     
   • You cannot receive adequate information about the future battle - while "extra details" are available it does not properly show the true stats of the enemies (annoying because the stats are the main thing and sometimes you can be 1-2 shot crit if you have not prepared yourself with extra evasion/armor).
     
   • You have dumb limitations on save file names. Also autosaves are limited to 5 only, while a lot of games of the last dacade have allowed you to set your own limit.
     
   • You cannot view the stats/abilities of a character when they get a new passive ability.
8. The faith mechanic is bad. Since some innate abilities only activate with high faith (and some way more often), you would want to keep your characters pious. However they lost faith when they become stronger, and after you pass all of the "breakpoints" for major minor stat increases, you might be worse off increasing your major stats, since the innate abilities may be more useful than +2% dmg.
   
9. The choice of Commandments at the start barely limits your playstyle down the line, so in reality the are only 2 commandements - "Physical Damage" and "Moral Damage" (which aren't even that forced, and you can flow inbetween one and the other, albeit with some difficulty).

Also I have a personal dislike for the length of a complete game - probalbhttps://gtm.you1.cn/storesteam/app/917150/Godhood/#y about 10-12 hours if you wish to play on hard and complete all the missions on the islands. For a game loaded with RNG this is way too much, a reason why I also have some distaste for 'Sunless Sea'.

So far for all the experience I had for a long while, the game is totally great. Question though, are there gonna be like updates to this game sooner or no? I really like the game, and of course there is already an ending to it. But like, I think they can do some more stuff for this game, like either having some new bonus items or additional content to explore, maybe more classes to deal in or some newer religions, whatever it may be, I wish it has more and more stuff, hopefully in the future, game is good but not for everybody, though it won't stop me from keeping on playing it.
