Anno 1404, Anno 1800, Manor Lords? Go.

I'm pretty new to this game but I keep running into the same issue. I start a campaign and make it to the Artisan stage, and by the time that happens and I'm ready to start making windows, I'm out of room on the original island, so it's time to expand. I think cool, I'll go to a new island and make windows there. The problem though is I have to build up to windows again there in order to have materials for everything, so basically it just amounts to starting all over and producing timber, then bricks, all ...

I am in the old and new worlds and have yet to get to Cape T. In the old world I have defeated Beryl in that she has no ships and her 3 islands are isolated by my fleet. But her islands are heavily defended with guns and flame throwers so there is no way I can get past them (or knock them out) to the new world with my sailing ships. I need a steam fleet to knock her out but can't progress without new world rum and other mats. The only way I can think of to progress is to get to the new world via Cape T, ...

when it takes 12 minutes to build one ship of the line and fire just melts them in two seconds before they even get into place to fire a shot that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Why does every ship move so slow to attack? The AI just spams coastal defense and doesnt even need a navy. im on the easiest difficulty and even if you destroy their defense they immediately rebuild it and they just melt through ships. what the actual ♥♥♥♥?...
