[Slight spoilers] The room past the black goo.
Specifically the hidden room past the symbiote cannister in the volcano. Is there anything to actually be done in the assembly room? I can see a hole in the ceiling at the far left. I can't find anything about this room online, though.

That hole in the ceiling is the standard way in. Sounds like you found the quick way in.
