I would say it's 25 percent different. If you're asking this question, you definitely won't miss anything if you move on to 3. You might watch the final battle and epilogue on Youtube and call it a day.

That's a good idea actually. Still really enjoyed it. I plan on playing 3, 7 and 8 next so that may also be a factor in why im slightly restless playing claires side.

I enjoyed 2 more than the rest, but that's just me.

Claire's unique final boss is honestly more fun than leon's which is just "Stagger him with the magnum until you get the rocket launcher to drop".

The sherry segment kinda sucks if you don't know the exact route though.

huh didnt even realise the mag stunned him, guess its a good way to make the most out of the mag ammo i gained rather than just pumping into him to get rocket launcher

It's pretty consistent if you do focused shots on his heart.

It's one of the few flaws of this excellent game. It is almost entirely the same except all scenes and segments with Ada will be swapped out with Claire equivalents. It somehow has less of a difference between A and B scenarios than the original RE2.

-Ada is switched out for Sherry.
-Different weapons.
-Different final boss.

yeah i ended up watching videos on it. i was playing with a vr mod so im kind of glad i didnt have to do Sherry's sneaking bits.

Just curious, but how do you feel the mod would have affected your enjoyment specifically?

you have to do both if you want the true ending, I prefer claires second run. The routes are slightly different (even in the areas both characters have access to).

The sherry section is actually REALLY easy once you watch his pattern a bit. It's completely fixed and you can do the same thing every time.

The difference in scenarios and her cool weapons make it worth playing through again, imo.
