Difficult Remilia
look, I understand and can manage the rest of Remilia's attacks, they're fine and fun. But her 'special move' with those lasers? How the HECK do I dodge those? It's nigh impossible unless I get LUCKY on where I stand because I'll just get pincered otherwise. I just keep grinding up HP on previous attacks and hope I survive. It's bullcrap.

  1. Get right under Remilia
  2. Jump or double jump before the lasers 'activate'.
  3. The lasers will then get away from you a bit, then come back.
  4. Jump / double jump, and you've dodged 'em all.

I found a different spot over to the left where you can stand until near the end then double jump to glide and be fine, but thanks

you can do it when you are in center like under her. When the two lasers cross themselves, jump and stay in air with floating ...
you will have time ! :)
EDIT : Damn, was too slow.

The trick with Remi is the attack where she shoots a ton of small projectiles sweeping from the outside to under her.

Because they each have graze, and if you jump just as they form parallel lines vertically, you'll refill your entire life bar. You'll also get hit at the end of course, but your life will have already refilled so it's just a chip.

I can't deal with the lasers either, I just try to minimize the damage I take from em. Kind of like Marisa's master spark. I always got hit by that sucker.

Honestly, I love this game, but this is like Remilia's laser attack in the second Touhouvania game.

You can't tell if a spot is safe until it's too late, and you can't even reach it unless you already moved there beforehand. So you can only hope to find a spot in all that chaos as you die, then memorize it for next time. That's terrible and not fun, and once you do know the spot, it becomes a joke.

Maybe there is a proper way to do it, and I just missed it?

When Remilia does those intertwining orb attacks (the ones you can destroy by shooting), I try to run to the far right side, and once she charges those lasers, I stop time and run to the far left side. Just before the last laser hits me, I jump and float down. The beam will always sizzle out half a second before it reaches you.

But the second one? Tanked it every time. Got hit at least once every time. No idea what to do.

Oh, and a safe point after the fight would be nice. I finally beat Remilia, I was adrenaline pumped and eager to finally see more content. I didn't feel like heading back, because I figured I'd just take a peek of the next section, and there would probably be another checkpoint anyway.
Then there was a new awesome song, Nitori distracted me, a fairy fired a friggin gatling gun at me, and in all that, I forgot about saving. It's never been an issue with any of the other bosses.

Sure, this one is on me, but still. I have to re-do Remilia now because I died after her. Big OOF.

Use Chainsaws. You should be able to defeat her before she uses this attack the second time.

you can deal with master spark by slowing down time instead of stopping it.

I hope it's ok, if I necro a little.
By the time of the fight you probably have the ability thousand daggers already.
Just stand a bit further away from Remilia,
then use thousand daggers (make sure you keep enough MP). You're invincible during the time you cast it, which is long enough to evade the lasers, plus get some decent damage on her.
I was having trouble on Remilia for a while, there is a quick way to avoid the laser attack without gliding or wall grappaling or whatever.

use time stop to get to the left corner (as that has the most space) and then time stop right before the laser hits you. if you do it at the correct time, you should see the impact effect, but sakuya will take no damage when you resume time. Got me through it.
I used to struggle with her too but my strat involved time stopping when her lasers showed up so i could position Sakuya beneath her and dodge them in time. And whenever she went for the unavoidable Dagger throw in the center i used 1000 daggers to graze the damage so good healing.
While it looks like the explosions after the lasers will hurt you, I don't think they will. It's only when the lasers are active that they have hitboxes. You can glide in between the first criss-crossed lasers, and the second diagonal lasers you need to walk the direction they are traveling and then walk back once they start going the other way. There is a problem here with visual noise that makes it really hard to read what's going on with the attack, but knowing you can walk through the flames will help.
