I don't know a document with solutions the developers had in mind.

It can be activated via the console when cheats are enabled: cht_bAutoTestBot=1
Anyway, I don't know if they have one for TTP2.

I've seen a similar thing happen with the benchmark, where it stayed clueless in the first puzzle after picking up the sigil. Normally, it would proceed to the next puzzle right away.
