Our latest Advanced Branch patch was just released and introduces an exciting new feature: Workshop Support! Create the Mars of your dreams like never before with community mods. Roadmap

We launched the game, but our mission is far from over. We plan on supporting the game for a long time. All told, in just over two months, we've released over ten patches to improve your experience. We have a lot more in store and decided it's time to share with our players a little more about where we're headed in the future. We love our players. Please continue to give us your ideas, feedback, suggestions, and bug reports. We want this game to be the best it can be and we can only do that with your help. While we can't respond to every comment, please know that we are listening and working. We hope that in time, you'll see how the community’s collective feedback guides and informs our development plans.

We plan on supporting Per Aspera for a very long time to come. As we release updates and patches, we’ll collect those details into this thread for your review.

Our third patch is now ready! We fixed a number of bugs: several of note include an issue with cargo assignments, resource allocation, and prioritization. We also balanced features that were not working as intended.

The last patch of the year is live! For our fourth patch, we introduced a number of improvements we think everyone will benefit from. Notable QOL improvements include: customized key bindings, auto-save options, and vein quantities and depletion indicators when using the Scanner Lens. We also resolved a number of tricky bugs including one that impacted logistical behavior on hyperloops and roads and overzealous hazards in sandbox mode.

Hotfix to address new bugs
Tonight at 12/19, we pushed a hotfix for Patch #4, to solve the following issues. The complete version number for this hotfix is v.1.0.0.0.5.10176.2020.12.2; it is save game compatible!

  • Performance problem while constructing new roads
  • Performance problem with the Worker Lens
  • Balancing problem with Aspera difficulty (construction times are now 10% longer than normal difficulty)
  • Bug that showed NaN instead of current Research Points
  • Bug that prevented the Buildings table to be sorted alphabetically

Hotfix
Tonight at 12/31, we pushed a hotfix for Patch #4, to solve a bug that messed up the priorities of resources. The complete version number for this hotfix is v.1.0.0.0.5.10183.2020.12.2. It is save game compatible!

Today we released the first patch of the new year for our new Advanced branch! As we begin to solve more complicated issues and tweak integral features for balancing, we need time and testing to ensure our public build remains as stable as possible. Using the Advanced branch gives you the flexibility to try out these new changes while also giving us time to assess the impact of our new patch!

The Advanced branch patch tackles a variety of issues including resource distribution, storage, and worker routes.

Our fifth patch has been released for everyone today! We've tackled quite a few bug fixes in this one such as storage hording, worker behaviors, and scarce resource distribution.

Today we released Advanced Branch Patch #2. This is our first content update - a substantial patch chock full of new features, QOL updates, and plenty of bug fixes. Once we’re assured that the patch is working as intended, we’ll publish it to the public branch of the game, where it will be accessible for all of our players.

In the beginning of the new year, we took time to evaluate our post-launch plans and examine what you, our players, most requested. This patch is our biggest yet of our efforts: it's our first content update and is a substantial patch chock full of new features, bug fixes, QOL improvements, and more. We hope that you enjoy it.

Treat That Water Hotfix
We just released a hotfix today that:
  • Fixed an issue that prevented some save games from loading
  • Updated the colonist widget to properly display the limit
