I understand that, but I'm mainly wondering if I get COD4 for my Mac, could I go into the multiplayer and expect LOTS of different severs and be able to make use of the game's multiplayer. What I'm suspecting is that the lobby is going to be empty for Mac players since PC servers and Mac servers are going to be seperate.
I meant cross platform between PC's and Mac's since they're different opperating systems.

Yes, they are the same. I play on PC and one of my friends using his macbook. We are having fun on the same server :)

Since Mac is basically PC and probably using linux codebase, which is roughly the same as windows minus the compiler, no prob.

if you get it on mac then it will work. our clan is half and half. some use macs and others like myself use pc.

macs dont have xfire which is what i recommend as you can easily link up with friends thru that rather they have the steam version of the game or retail. that said macs have there own xfire version (xblaze for iphone but not sure the name for mac) that works with xfire.

Hello. Long time Mac user here. I have been playing COD on a mac via this platform for about 8 years. One thing to note is that you cannot use an OS newer than 10.14.6 (Mojave). Also, there is severely lack of all servers to play on vs PC users and I tend to just play the same one(s) when I play.
