Toggle to mute Operator hirelings?
I know maybe I'm not using them properly but I mostly only hired them as a backup just incase I missed an incident, but I'm pretty good at keeping up with them. HOWEVER, once you have the full map unlocked, and can place like 10+ operators, as soon as you use one police unit right next to the border, AS SOON as it leaves the border, the operator goes "SIR I NEED HELP! SIR I REQUEST MORE UNITS!" And this only gets worse once you hire more. They all start crying out in unison "SIR HELP!" It's absolutely aggravating. Even worse when all your units are trying to talk too at the same time.

AI Operators were never really all that great and there is no option to mute them or disable the occasional call they will give about about a major incident. The game likely wants you to deploy dispatchers at your most busiest districts with highest emergency resources available.

Dispatchers are meant to reduce stress from your part, not take over your duties entirely. 112 also likes to have at least one unit of each type in every district or as far as it's concerned, that district, regardless of how quiet it is, it is under-performing in availability of first responders. The max amount of dispatchers I've had was two, and I undeployed them due to constant micro-managing. I'd suggest you do the same.

The only instance where they are marginally helpful will be on small lakes.

Yup, you are absolutely correct! I hope I didn't come off as too negative.
