I wish more people gave this game a chance, its incredible!

Amazing RPG. The art style is quaint, but don't let it belie the really deep roleplaying experience the game offers. I love procedural generation when it's done well: that feeling you get when you build relationships with these characters who feel completely unique to your experience and guide them through challenges great and small. The progression feels meaningful and earned, and the meta-progression between runs creates a continuity beyond just the typical roguelite experience. The magic mechanic in this game is one I haven't seen done before and feels quite innovative. I think the most exciting aspect of this game that really sets it apart for me are the random encounters. If you're a fan of tabletop roleplaying (like DND) and have had a really great DM, you know the best moments are found in those random encounters and side quests while you're on the road, or camping out before your next big fight, or when you're chatting with strangers at the tavern. This game hands you one of those encounters before every fight, and the choices you make affect your characters, their stories, their relationships, and sometimes their bodies, *permanently*. It's just one of the many ways the developers give you the opportunity to tell your own story and create magical moments that feel wholly your own.
