Shadow of the Tomb Raider is my personal favorite in the reboot trilogy. I really enjoy tropical settings, which I found much more appealing compared to the snowy regions in Rise of the Tomb Raider. The story was decent, and the ending was satisfying. I appreciate that they didn't try to overcomplicate the conclusion, as some games tend to do. It was straightforward and effective.

Overall, I’d say the reboot of the Tomb Raider series has been a success. I loved all three games, and here’s how I rank them:
1) Shadow of the Tomb Raider
2) Tomb Raider (2013)
3) Rise of the Tomb Raider

Not as good as the first 2. It's decent enough. It kinda feels like they want to replicate the TR2013 but improved. Not a lot of combat like ROTR and leaning more toward exploration.

Point plus they decide to change Lara's body to more muscular one rather than ROTR, in exchange they sacrificed Lara's facial expression. But they make it up with jungle environment, so it's fair. Less grind and farm than ROTR similar skill and upgrade system like ROTR. ROTR: simple skill upgrade, complex equipment upgrade. SOTR: complex skill upgrade, simple equipment upgrade. Those simple-complex in term of the point needed to upgrade.

Overall not as complex as ROTR, so-so storywriting, amazing exploration, amazing design. Between TR2013 and ROTR, i ranked SOTR the last one. It's kinda hard to recommend or not recommend this one, but for the sake of "I want to see and finish the trilogy" i'll put this on recommended one.

I had a lot of fun playing but I cannot finish the game because it keeps crashing at the final boss level. And that is a shame because I finished all objectives, missions and basically finished every area. Got a 100% everywhere but because of these crashes I cannot finish this game. :(

Not to mention the "Submit bug report" form is also bugged. The "Send" button rarely works and I cannot enter my email or additional info. I have to go as far as killing the launcher manually if the form is not responding. That said, I did have random crashes throughout the game but that happened maybe once or twice and by far not enough for me to consider it an obstacle. Annoying, yes. But not problematic. Just restarting the game and continue. But this.. yea, no. I am just going to consider it finished and leave it at that.

If Feral is going to publish another TR game I will wait for others first to see how well the game works for them. But I won't purchase it myself right away. My trust is a bit gone there. And it is a shame really. Because TR 2013 and Rise worked just fine. They never crashed on me. So I don't get how they managed to screw this one up so badly.
