PS5 controller on my M4Pro MacBook no longer working inside of game

I recently traded in my M1Pro to a M4Pro MBP (did a data migration over to it) and now my controller isn't working inside of the game, I followed the .plist instructions and still a no go. The other two TR games work perfectly, just not this one. The PS5 .plist file is added to the correct directory in the game and it was working previously. Not sure what else to do. Tried turning it off in Steam etc still won't work...Any ideas anyone?

Off the top of my head from extrapolated experience with DS5, have you tried to disable Steam Input for the game?

I did, and it still won't function like it did previously before the migration transfer to the new machine.

Did you try with the cable connected (sorry if it sounds like a stupid question), some games work better with the DS5 connected (Jedi series) than wireless

No problem. Not yet! But I will give that a go next. Last resort, will be to uninstall and reinstall.

Still a no go plugged in and disabled in Steam. :(

Did some more fiddling with the Steam settings while plugged in, it is now working! Wirelessly too! Before I fiddled with the settings again, I installed and OS update 15.1.1. Don't know if that had any effect, but all is back to normal now. whew!
