And oddly enough, I've always managed to skip the cutscenes even during my 1st playthrough (with a PS and Windows compatible comotroller). Therefore, you mustn't being doing something right if you're wishing to lose pieces of the game's story by skipping those.

Yeah, i noticed i cant skip my cutscenes sometimes too. I think it's because my laptop is still loading/rendering the next part of the game, so it wouldn't let me skip.
