Terribly might be an overstatement, but nothing beats Native support. And I don't own a Mac, I've just seen videos testing shadow of the tomb raider, where the lack of native support was mentioned.
But the M1 chip was able to maintain 60fps in TR 2013 at 1080p, at the high preset, so the M4 chip should be able to run it at, at least, 1080p high 120 fps, or 1440p high 60+ fps.
Also planning on buying an M4 mac, the new M4 base mac mini, to finally own my first Mac, and test and provide feedback to the developers for all the games and software I can, cause that's what I do, I don't play games.
TR 2013 runs of course much better, but you should disable tressfx hair, though it works it has a huge impact on frame rate.
SOTTR benchmarks on the base M4 Mini are in the lower forties according to some YT tests.
