[16-12-2021] PC Patch Notes for patch Shadow of the Tomb Raider, build 1.0.458.0 (Patch #21)
We have just released a PC patch for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, build 458.0.

This patch will be applied by Steam automatically when you next start the game. If your game does not update, please restart the Steam client.

Fixes in this patch include:
  • Improved the look of raytraced shadows on High or Ultra settings
  • Fixed an issue with RTX crashing when enabled for some systems
  • Fixed an issue with AMD FidelityFX CAS causing interact prompts to flicker on DX12
  • Fixed an issue with AMD FidelityFX CAS not working on DX11
  • Fixed achievements progress not showing
  • Fixed an issue with SMAA crashing when enabled for some systems


Epic and Steam account linking and crossplay.

1) If you’ve never linked your Steam and Epic accounts, you can launch and play Tomb Raider through Steam just as you always could.

2) If you have previously linked your Steam and Epic accounts the game will not automatically use your linked account. If you wish make use of your linked accounts, please enable the feature from the options menu>>multiplayer.

3) You can unlink your Steam account via your Epic account settings, or disable the use of it from the in-game menu.

We will keep monitoring for feedback and will release further patches as it seems required. We always welcome your feedback!

The previous build has been made available through a Steam beta branch.

why only Arabic or English are available in copies of game "Shadow of the Tomb Raider" purchased in Arabic countries?

Nice! Thanks for the update. The RT shadows in the jaguar attack area look normal now again. :steamthumbsup:

I have been waiting years for Denuvo to be removed, and at was removed. Then there was the issue with Epic Online Services running in the background in the Task Manager, but I just tested the game, and there is no Epic Online Services in the Task Manager. I am happy to report that I can now finally enjoy this beautiful game, and fall in love with Lara all over again. Thank you, developers! You've deleted my last 5 posts. You don't need to delete this one!

Unfortunately, last night I went from the main menu to the Challenge Tombs tab, and when I selected one of the tombs from the top batch, there was a message stating that the game was trying to authenticate with Epic Online Services, then there was an error message saying I couldn't do it. So unfortunately the game is not completely free of Epic fail.

Hallo,
Ich habe seit dem letzten Update folgendes Problem:
Ich benutze den PS4 Controller auf meinem PC. Das Spiel hat den PS4 Controller immer erkannt und im Spiel mir immer die richtigen Tasten des Controllers angezeigt.
Seit dem Update zeigt mir das Spiel nun leider die Xbox Tasten an.
