It has a steep learning curve and some of the Reploids can be annoying to rescue, but it's really not all that bad with the exceptions of some stages like Lava Factory or Crimson Palace. IMO X6 is much, much worse, especially with how the Nightmare Phenomena and Viruses work....

Just out of curiosity since X6 has always been my favorite X game in the series since I first played it way back when. Even as a child it never bothered me that the game was hard, I just found it to be the natural order of things since Megaman was all ♥♥♥...

I've been 100% completing X8 and noticed when checking my records that there was an 'EXF' icon in the top corner of the icon for Noah's Park. The level is only A ranked, so I have no idea what that is. If it matters, I defeated Vile there but I don't think it should since IIRC the EXF has been showing up before that. Update: According to the wiki, it appears if you finish the stage boss with a Double Attack. I never bothered using this much past the intro stage, so that explains things....

If so, what do I need to do so I could make my custom mod work since it just turns into a black screen if I add it in...
