Controller stops working during battles
I've been playing with an XBOne wireless controller since I started playing and never had a problem before. Today, I booted it up and the controller was working fine- I could walk around, talk to people, open the menu, cook, all that stuff. I get into a battle and nothing works, other than the start button pausing the game. What gives?

during battle, is the character moving on its own? If so, you need to set the character to either Semi-Auto or Manual in the artes menu.

The character I wanted to control was set to manual, but I think that I figured out what the issue was. When I went all the way back out to the system settings, the controller was being detected as "Xbox Bluetooth 2," which I suppose meant that it was being detected as player 2's controller. I don't remember player 2 being able to control the character in towns and maps, but I suppose that's what it was? Still not 100 percent clear on what happened, but I restarted the game and turned my controller back on, and it showed as "Xbox Bluetooth 1" in the menu again, so for now it works.

Any further insight into what you done to fix the issue? I'm having this exact issue (but using a Switch Pro controller) and am at a loss on how to fix this. It works perfectly fine prior to entering battle, but the moment you enter battle the character just performs a single action (like running to the left or right) and doesn't recognize any other inputs.

Turn off vibration/haptic feedback. It is causing issues with the Pro Controller in this game for some reason.

Thank you, even 4 years later this is still a problem and that fixed it for me
