What is this thread?

If you're new around here, this is where the forum regulars hang out and have discussions. It's a great source of news, fun, and just general conversation. Come in and make a few friends, as long as you don't spam or troll.

I'm not actually here to run this place anymore, so the thread hasn't been updated since 9/7/2021. Feel free to hang out here or find and join the Hype Wanted discord server, you've got a great community here.

Religion / Politics
This is actually a lot more than a Soft Ban, as it's against the Steam Guidelines. I doubt anyone's going to come after you if it's a one-off post every now and then, as long as it doesn't start any arguments.

War-related Stuff
It's just depressing to see things about war. The only time this is permitted, is if it's an emergency thing such as if a world war happens to break out without us knowing about it. I understand some of you may know people in the military, but it's still just too touchy.

Freddit Negativity
Even if you have beef with Freddit (r/fivenightstafreddys community) or you believe a user is being dumb or irrational, do not bring it here. You can freely inform people of posts you think are interesting or should be criticized, but don't state your own opinion unless it comes up naturally in the conversation and isn't calling the post or user in question insults.

When my mom died I fell into a depression. I struggled to really find joy in anything anymore. One day I came across Mark’s playthrough of the FNaF games. Hearing Phone Guy talk about the place... it made me laugh. Something that I had been struggling to do up until then. Phone Guy (and FNaF as a whole) brought a lot of joy into my life when I needed it. That’s why I love PG so much.

Huh. Ironic. The game about murdered souls somehow brought people out of slumps in life.
