Audio question

Might be an odd question but I'll ask anyway. So basically, the English dub is clearly awful and really puts me off. I see there is a Chinese dub so... is that any good? I would find it bizarre to use the Japanese audio with it being ancient China so it is really the only other way I could find acceptable.

Chinese dub is so so, some of the VA is great for some characters and downright awful for others. Japanese dub is the best I've found for both quality and immersion sake because the character's lip sync is based off Japanese dialogue. Slightly immersion breaking but not as bad as watching the characters re-enact a 1980's dubbed kung-fu flick.
