Missing controller icons in game with DualSense

I know this has been brought up a few times but i was just curious if anyone ever found a solution? It seems to have started upon using a PS5 controller instead of my DS4. Every button prompt in the game is just empty in all menu's

I thought it was a file issue so i reinstalled and didn't fix it. I have Playstation and Xbox support on in Controller Configuration as well as trying it in Big Picture Mode and neither seem too work.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a PS5 compatibility issue that obviously wont get resolved

I'm having the same issue trying to use my Switch Pro Controller.

Sorry for the ancient bump, but is there a solution to this? Haven't had any luck.. does it only show icons for Xbox controllers?

Update: Tested with xbox controller, all icons show up correctly. Guess that's the only solution here.

I dislike this too, the only way I found for DualSense is to use DS4windows to emulate xbox controller, and in game to disconnect and reconnect the controller, because this somehow disable the DualSense that the steam get it at main controller when starts the game. After that you see xbox prompts, but I wish Koei do something for this but so we can play with any controller.
