Gundam sandrock custom EW seems so bad, why?
the MS has a 1 ranged physical melee and a 1~2 range vulcan cannon, and that's it. Also no built-in modifications aside from the gundanium alloy.

I mean what is the trade off? Am I missing something? I don't see any reason to evolve my sandrock into the custom EW

Well, all the EW units are lacking compared to TV is because they were being sent to be destroyed. So they are lacking proper equipment for battle.

Sandrock custom EW+ it's pilot is still pretty strong statwise

It has nice stats but thats about it, otherwise no reason to use it compared to other versions unless your going for wing only team.

Sandrock Custom EW has better stats than the other versions of Sandrock, despite its lack of attacks and limited range. It's not as noticeable when you use it as part of a raid team or warship team with link attacks.n Still, it's unfortunate Wing was treated the worst out of the four included universes. Especially with Glory of the Losers being included, there's no legitimate reason why they couldn't have provided more attacks for the five Gundams.

Movie sandrock not really having any moves is really nothing new. Even SRW doesn’t really do much but let it have a assist attack, it’s really just the movie’s fault for taking all of its weapons away

Heavyarms Custom EW is actually really good, 2 special attacks(nothing specifically reduces them) and 2 physical attacks with 5 base range on one for each is pretty good all things considered. That said its really only the Tallgeese 3, Wing Zero Custom EW and Heavyarms that are actually viable from the movie in my eyes at least.

Yeah I agree. and the Altron EW is pretty decent as well. but deathscythe EW and sandrock EW are pretty bad. I understand they can't give them more attacks because of the movie, but they could've increased the range of their attacks to 3 at least. Epyon is supposed to be a pure short range unit but it still has ok range, so I'm thinking why didn't they do the same with deathscythe and sandrock.

Heavyarms Custom EW did get that 1-2 attack that is treated as ranged, for stat calculation, which really buffed it. It's finally better than its TV version in all ways now.

I’d agree with you if Glory of the Losers wasn’t included. Since it is, all of Sandrock Custom EW’s Armaments should be included in the game. It would have been nice, at the very least, if they dedicated a DLC pack to including everything from Glory of the Losers in the game. Instead, they picked randomly what they wanted to include from the manga.

But that isn’t really how it works though, even if they included the GoL version of it it’d just be two different suits. The movie ver would be unchanged

If that’s what they wanted to do, then sure. It would be silly having two Sandrock Custom EW’s, with the only difference being one isn’t armed. Then again, this game has every version of Barbatos, of which some were barely in more than an episode.

They could have just added the Glory of the Losers version to the game and then simply locked those abilities during the Endless Waltz scenario.
Yeah i always found the Katoki versions aside from Wing Zero, Wing Gundam and Heavy arms to be down grades compared to the tv versions. Death Scythe Hell loses the buster shield, Sandrock loses the beam uzi and its shield while Altron loses it's flame thrower and beam cannon.

That’s only in the film/OVA due to the fact they were disarmed as they were being destroyed. The EW variants have their full arsenal, just like the TV series, in the GOTL manga. In fact, they all actually have more weapons in the manga. Deathscythe Hell as an example:

In the New Mobile Report Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: The Glory of Losers, the Katoki version version of the Deathscythe Hell saw the return of the buster shield and a second beam scythe blade is added to the beam scissors. In fact, the suit now has two buster shields that are mounted on the side skirt armor, while the second beam scythe blade on the beam scissors is fixed in place facing upwards.

Personally, I use Sandrock Custom EW as the team tank in a warship group. It's strong armor and good HP is good for defending weaker pilots who struggle to evade attacks.

The only way to maximize Sandrock Custom EW's attack is to invest your pilot abilities into melee/physical knowledge lvl 2, and melee/physical handling.

Otherwise, give the pilot bodyguard and iron Wall to take advantage of the Sandrock's hardy defense, especially if augmented with beam and physical resistance parts.
