Figured out, in the chaos of trying to do every other task I hadn't noticed the prompt in the bottom left corner telling me to press down on both Joysticks

Glad you were able to figure that out! There is a ton of stuff going on in the game so it can definitely be hard to have the time to learn anything during a day. I'm sorry the asteroid practice day wasn't working, that is a bug we haven't seen before. If you have any other details to help us find that it would be much appreciated. Info like where you were in the campaign, if you had been playing the game for a while, what kind of controller you were using, and even what upgrades you had equipped can help us in our search. I was on the 2nd boss level, I was playing co-op with my girlfriend, both of us were using xbox one controllers, I unfortunately don't remember exactly what upgrades I had equipped at the time
