After all this time, we're still working on to turn Esports Life in the best esports athlete life simulator in the world.

We've been gathering your feedback to include it in the game and finish the Early Access period at the end of 2019.
Thanks to everyone who's helped improve Esports Life!

As an advance, these will be the most important changes in the next version of Esports Life:

Gamer Life:

• Day and night cycle: you wake up at 8 AM and won't be able to do more tasks after 1 AM.
  
• Matches generate stress, which can be decreased through activities like going to the pool, doing exercise, etc.
  
• You can continue playing with high-stress levels, but your rating will be decreased.

Story:

• The game start is now shorter and you'll get a computer much earlier.
  
• Story phase activation will be event-based, not time-based.
  
• All dialogues have been shortened.
  
• New game over conditions related to your family situation, school or not completing certain missions.

Redesigned LoG:

• New league system with weekly promotion and relegation schedules.
  
• Independent team and player Elo rating.

Minigames:

• The only remaining minigame mechanics are flirting and streaming.

New locations:

• Skate park, gym and swimming pool.
  
• New locations add social interaction situations to balance your energy and stress levels.

Redesigned card game:

• There will be onlye one game, Master of Champions, which you can play anytime you want from your PC, both league and friendly matches.
  
• 12 unlockable heroes.
  
• Completely redesigned cards and combat system. We'll be giving more information on the new card game once we get closer to the update.

As you know, the Early Access model directly involves players in videogame development and we want to thank the patience you've shown through all this period. We hope you enjoy these new elements as much as we did designing and developing them.

February is here and with it, a new update of Esports Life: Ep.1 - Dreams of Glory. We've been gathering all the feedback through the Steam Community forums and your reviews and this is the result:

• Two new languages: The game has been fully translated into Russian and Brasilian Portuguese.
  
• Revamped talent system: We noticed it was causing too much confusion and we decided to re-do it from the ground up.
  
• GUI Match warning: You don't need to constantly check if you're going to play a game.
  
• Game progression balancing: The number of levels and points needed to acquire talents has been re-adjusted to fit the game.
  
• Match Mode: Now you can play matches from the main menu, no history required!
  
• Flirting mini-game balancing: It's now easier if you're a friend of the "target"
  
• "Spend time on the phone": We've added a feature on your phone to pass time quickly. Very useful when you're waiting for someplace to open, for example.
  
• Tasks end on closing time: If you're performing a task and it reaches that venue's closing time, the task will be stopped automatically.
  
• Save as...: Now you can edit the name of the game save and make different copies for different scenarios.
  
• Other minor bugs and lots of general balancing.

It's been three weeks since Esports Life: Ep.1 - Dreams of Glory was released and here we are with the first big update. As you know, we've been very active in the community forums interacting daily with our users. Upwilly, the project director, has been reading and even answering user posts and we've gathered lots of knowledge to work on improving the game.

Patch notes

• Two new teams join us! Welcome, Team Solo Mid and Team iMPacT.
  
• New main menu and new game mode: Amateur career
  
  • No story to follow
    
  • All locations are unlocked
    
  • Manage up to 3 teams
    
  • We strongly suggest that newbie players stick to the story or they can feel lost.
• Easier path to the Gameszone Tournament: grinding Elo score is now faster.
  
• Optional minigames: Now you can skip the minigames, although at the cost of a worse performance.
  
• Revamped GUI: Main menu and league GUIs have been improved. The enemies are now larger in the shooter minigame, and you can use R to reload.
  
• Match gameplay improvements: We heard your complaints about the match and we've taken several actions to improve its pace and make it easier to understand
  
  • Skippable combat phase
    
  • Simulate matches from team selection
    
  • New "vision" phase to make it easier to understand
    
  • The IA has been improved so it picks better cards, based on the team Elo.
    
  • Improved deck manager.
• Friends are not always available anymore, especially at night.
  
• Reduced mother presence through the whole game.
  
• Lower Elo players can now be recruited. Keep in mind this will lower the team's score.
  
• Hats can now be taken off and equipped again. And there are new masks in the cosplay store.
  
• Tons of minor fixes and localisation improvements, although we plan to further improve the quality of the game translations.

How are you enjoying Esports Life? We are almost one week into our Early Access launch and we are gathering tons of invaluable feedback from our players. Special thanks to all of you who took the time to write a thorough review (positive or negative) and those who are active on the discussion forum. You are helping shape this game!

1.0.2beta Not on beta anymore!

This patch includes some localisation error fixes, minor re-balancing (keep the feedback coming!) and a big bug where sometimes when joining tournaments on the convention centre or the summoner's bar, it didn't generate properly and the save was blocked.

We chose to release a beta because this version has the potential to break some savegames. We have tested it and everything went alright but it's better to err on the side of caution and delay total rollout until we're completely sure. Please, create a backup of your savegames before entering the beta.
To join this public beta: right click on Esports Life: Ep.1 - Dreams of Glory in your Steam library -> Properties -> BETAS -> Choose public beta from the drop-down menu.

Next big update

We've gathered all your feedback and we're now focused on improving Esports Life. We are targetting an update for the 22nd and we're working on the following:

• A new game mode: we heard you, Mike's a bit of a chore, so we're working on a "free game mode" completely bypassing the story. You'll be on your own from minute 1. Featuring an open map, three LOG teams, and more tournaments.
  
• The first time you face Russell it's cumbersome. From now on it'll be only 1 match.
  
• The mother will become less nagging. You won't see her as often.
  
• The "Daily recap" window will wait until you're finishing the current task. No more missed shots while closing a window!
  
• Improved trash minigame.
  
• Revamped ESL GUI.
  
• Game balance improvements.
  
• Match: A toggle to bypass the combat phase, improved IA and improvements when showing who can be seen.
  
• General art touchups.

Keep in mind that this is our roadmap and it's not set in stone. All these points are subject to change!

Esports Life is finally here!

The day has come, Esports Life: Ep.1 - Dreams of Glory is released today on PC (Mac and Linux builds coming soon!) for you to enjoy.
We’ve compiled the questions that you’ve been asking us and this document will hopefully provide any answer you might have.

Why Early Access
You can read our complete Early Access manifesto on the landing page, but here’s a brief summary:

• Although Esports Life is a fully playable game, we chose Early Access because its development is still open and we want you, our fans, to have a meaningful impact on the finished game. Make sure to tell us your opinion and what you’d like to see on the community forums! It’s alive!
  
• We’re targeting a spring final release.
  
• There will be a price increase once Esports Life leaves Early Access status.
  
• Episode 2 won’t be published before the game is out of Early Access

Development roadmap
Our goal is to provide content updates every two weeks, but bug fixing patches can be released at any moment, especially during the next week.
We will try and keep you updated on our current development and next patch expected content. Make sure to visit the Steam Community forums often to stay tuned for the latest news. Our current plans are to add the following:

Pricing
We chose to split Esports Life into two episodes because at this moment, only Ep. 1 content is mature enough to make it available to our fans. We chose not to force you paying the full price if you don’t want the full game.


Keep in mind that the prices are set in US Dollars ($) and may experience exchange fluctuations on your local currency:
Episode 1 will be at a reduced price of $19,99 during its Early Access phase and change to $24,99 on full release. Both prices might be lowered temporarily during Steam sale periods. Furthermore, Episode 1 will feature a 15% loyalty discount for Youtubers Life owners, but it won’t last long. Get Esports Life: Ep.1 - Dreams of Glory now to guarantee this price reduction!
Episode 2 will release around late spring at a price of $9,99, and only after Ep. 1 has come out of Early Access.

Episode 1 and 2 content
The first episode starts with your character, an amateur gamer, discovering the world of esports and climbing through the ranks of amateur gaming, dreaming of playing for an esports organisation some day… which may or may not be the end of ep. 1 ;).
We have clocked around fourteen hours of gameplay, although this particular number can change for every player and due to game balance polishing.

On Episode 2, you can choose to start where you left at the end of episode 1 or create a new game. You’ll play for a professional esports team! Gaming house, coach, team staff, world stages, the whole ordeal.
Also, Episode 2 will feature a significantly different gameplay.

It's been a long time since we released the teaser but here we are with some exciting news.

We're proud to announce that Esports Life will feature real esports clubs!

Confirmed clubs so far are PSG –one of the strongest multi-sports franchise right now; G2 Esports –winner of many European titles in recent years and lead by the legendary Ocelote; Millenium –the oldest team in France and a reference in European competitive gaming; and Heretics – the new adrenaline-packed team created in 2016.

More teams will be announced soon.
