Kenties works in the steam version, it replaces the steam version of deusex.exe with a third party version, steam isn't needed to run the game after thats installed.
So to have multiple mods, you need to have them installed in their own directory in the deusex directory, that way kenties launcher can see them.
Getting zodiac working using kenties can be tricky, but it is possible:
You need to install it in its own directory in the deus ex folder... so for example: "c:\program files(x86)\steam\common\deusex\zodiac", then copy zodiacuser.ini and zodiac.ini from "deusex\zodiac\system" to "c:\users\<your user name>\documents\deusex\system"... thats where kenties launcher looks for your config files.
zodiac.ini will be empty, so copy everything from your deusex.ini file into it and change the line:
DefaultGame=DeusEx.DeusExGameInfo
to
DefaultGame=Zodiac.MyGameInfo
After that, goto your deusex\system folder, copy and paste deusex.exe (kenties launcher), and rename it to zodiac.exe
Create a shortcut of zodiac.exe, right click, goto properties and add this after a space to the end of Target: INI=Zodiac.ini USERINI=ZodiacUser.ini
and click OK.
Hopefully, it should work :)
I have gotten tnm working with kenties before, but its been a while.. Its probably going to need the same steps as above though.
The post is still very useful, saved me a lot of time.
