Light puzzle?

Hey guys, I can't figure out the timing of the underground light puzzle. What's the pattern? I thought maybe I was supposed to move with the background sound effects, but that doesn't seem to be working, and going across when the light after the brick wall is flickering on doesn't seem to work either.

the pattern is this
0000
000-
-00-
--0-
----
so basically you turn off the most right light, then turn the most left one, then the second left, then the third left

It confused me to start with I thought I had to do a pattern walk through and do another pattern. Turned out it was the number of flashes in the cycle was the order to push in.
