The Need for Optimization
This game needs some heavy optimization. My computer has more then enough power to run many high-Graphics games, yet one I played this one the fps was around 20. When I looked in settings all they had was fast-fantastic much like unity. This game is amazing, but I have to refund, because It is just not enjoyable. Does anyone else have this problem? Just seeing if the community agrees. Thanks.

i have mine set to potato and still its so laggy windows even thinks its not responding sometimes but if you wait it will come back
The game hogs cpu power so having a good gpu doesnt matter as much. Having many units on the field is cpu heavy so having smaller fights is the only way to improve performance until it gets fixed

I have a nice core i5 but still
I dont want to use the uss nimitz to play TTS
I have this exact problem.
I even made a steam forum discussion like you, but some guy just told me all I needed to do was spend about 800-900$ for a PC upgrade.

my PC is just fine as is, I shouldn't have to upgrade, I can handle almost all other games, it should be able to handle a simple unity game.

which is so dumb.
I wouldnt have minded waiting 3-4 months while they optimize it. there are lots of other unity games out there with good optimization, a shame the devs couldn't pull it off for this. I feel like things were rushed.....
also totally accurate battle simulator may have way less stuff, but atleast it doesn't lag your CPU to shreds when you try and have fun with a buncha units

I have I9-9900k and i cant get very large battles going without severe framedrops.

yea but you still get 60-80FPS right? :P

although...if I spent 500-600$ on a CPU I'd want 200-300 FPS as well

The framerate is stable as long as there is not too many units at once but it will drop really low once there are hundreds of units fighting. Its almost a slideshow once you have a good battle going

and...you need to have a few hundred units to play the campaign....

Phew, glad I read that before buying (yeye, refunding possibility but still). Guess I won't even bother with a dated Xeon v3 1231+gtx 970 then lol, too bad.

Seen a few YT vids, looked fun to say the least! Anyway, good luck with your game devs! \o

The latest patch gave you more setting, for me at least, I would say it is OK. But it still needs some work
