Can you leave the ball?
Or is this a "attempt to hit every delivery" game like DBC was? It is marketed as a test match game so I assume leaving the ball is a skill and viable option in this game?

you need to press the right stick (R3)
Use caution if you decide to leave against spinners, because you can get stumped.
You can change the leave button in general settings. I have marked it to A in classic batting controls
Yes leaving can be risky. The batsman currently likes to stand their oblivious after missing a ball and wont try and get back into the crease if he has stepped out of it, and you can get stumped coz hes like 1cm outside the crease, just standing there, not even knowing hes out of the crease.
Thank you everyone. What is the test match gameplay like in your opinion? By the sounds of things, unless leaving is a viable option, it's not that good?

The best batting in a cricket game for me was EA cricket 2005 imho as you could really build an innings in a test match, and leaving the ball was just as satisfying as playing it. OK so the shots were very limited but at least you had control over the decisions you made as a batsman. DBC didn't feel controlled at all imho.

You can leave freely to fast bowlers, no fear of stumping.
Against spinners you need to stand inside the crease, move the batsman back while in stance, then you can leave freely
On this topic, do any of you guys know if you can leave the ball in different ways?
What I mean is, when I press the leave button, the batsmen just does a standard leave animation, even if the ball is pitched short, so the ball hits him in the arm, shoulder or head.
It would be nice to know if I could duck.
Any one know?

Leaving it by not touching the controller at all won't have you wander out of your crease at all. He only does that if you touch the controller in any way, and miss, sometimes.
