ubisoft connect
I could not play this game for more than 3 weeks already because I could not connect to ubisoft connect. There 's nothing wrong with my internet connection. Ask steam support and they point to ubisoft. Tried ubisoft support but their contact us page does not work. I have no idea what to do next. Any advice?

Can you not just start ubisoft connect from your windows start menu, through the search?
(Not from steam)

If not, you could reinstall ubisoft connect. Also check your anti malware program, maybe its blocked.

Thks for your reply. I did what ubisoft faq suggested for failed internet connection, but nothing worked. I run windows 11, no anti malware app.

I had to delete the ubi app, then i verified the files through steam and it reinstalled the app, then it logged in as normal. I'm on win 10
UC are very unstable and picky over internet source, you can attempt restarting your router, half of the time it fixes the issue, if not, well, I hope you have alternate internet source like mobile data.

yup .. that's ubish!t for you. always broken ... i stopped supporting them nearly 10 years ago, their support is non existing and if you DO manage to get a reply, they will instantly blame it on customers.

i only got crew 2 cuz it was 1 usd .. and it just reminded me how much hassle it is ... i want to play .. but NoOoOoooOOO ... 200mb update of ubiSH!T client ... FOR WHAT??? WHAT IS THERE TO UPDATE??? ITS A CLIENT THAT LAUNCHES THE GAME, WHY IS IT SO GIGANTIC???

client like that should be 10mb max, there is NO NEED for more! what spyware are they putting in it?

most likely reason why it won't connect, is cuz you have some anti-spyware program installed and it's blocking those suspicious connections it tries to make on background.
their client is spying on you all the time, it sends all sorts of telemetry and does sketchy stuff on background (aka spying on your activities).

ubi is horrible company.
that said, even tho i have high security on my pc aswell, it works fine, but i did have to re-install it. their client always effs itself up when you havent' used it for a while, it's probably cuz their spyware needs to update.

programs like that make my blood boil ... i have winamp from 2013, never updated it, never re-installed. i just copy paste entire folder to another pc and it just works, why can't ubiSH!T do same? why do they have to make a game launcher SO COMPLICATED?

all it has to do, is connect to their servers and check that you own the game, similar to what steam does. then just launch the game, that's it ... WHY DO THEY NEED LIKE 500mb OF FILES FOR DOING SOMETHING THAT SIMPLE???

clearly they have super incompetent devs who have no idea how computers work.

Yeah maybe I will just uninstall the game and come back in a year's time. maybe they have fixed it .. or not

It's Ubisoft, so that's not gonna happen. Besides the issue is probably on your side.

I had problems launching it as well, I don't remember what was the exact error code, but maybe it can help you, In my case I had too many accounts linked to Ubisoft, leaving only the essentials (needs to be under 3) solved it for me, you can give that a try.
You can check the linked accounts on a browser in your account in Ubisoft website.
