Help us make Cooking Simulator better!

We're super happy to see SO MANY chefs from all over the world cooking together! Thank you for all the positive reviews and tips for improving.

EDIT:
We're locking this thread since you guys have been using it for reporting bugs and providing feedback. We value your support very much but to make things easier, please start a new thread in the Tech Support subforum for the issues you've encountered.

Here's a template for the perfect bug report:

What happened: Dish can’t be served / Can’t move / Potato falls from the pot
What game mode: Classic Kitchen Sandbox/ Cakes and Cookies Career/ Pizza Sandbox/ Any mode, etc.
When/How it happened: After cutting 2 onions / When starting Sandbox mode with controller attached / Throwing apple when crouching.
Build nr.: Number that can be found in the left bottom of the main menu.
Are You able to reproduce this issue? Yes/No
Optional attachments: output log, save file, video, screenshot

It's always a good idea to include an output log in your bug report and if the bug is related to loading a game, a save file is also a great help.

Best to send them here: discord.gg/bigcheesestudio or support@bigcheesestudio or share a link to download them. Please send us the whole bug description, not just the file (discord/email)

Where is the output log?
1. When you experience a bug, either close or ALT+TAB the game, just make sure you don't restart the game as this will overwrite the output log (unless you are aiming to reproduce the bug/crash)
2. Paste this path into your files explorator: %appData%/../LocalLow/Wastelands Interactive/CookingSimulator/
3. There you should find output_log.txt

Where is the game save file?
In one of those locations:
1. Documents/Wastelands-Interactive/CookingSimulator
2. %appdata%/LocalLow/Wastelands-Interactive/CookingSimulator
3.(Game Installation Folder)/Save/Wastelands-Interactive/CookingSimulator

I really loved the game and I think your game is way too open for development and fun. First of all you can add a new mechanics for "chefs" :D to decorate their plates. I know this may be hard but if you add a new feature like "your decoration looks good or bad." etc. because for some chefs decoration should be good as food :) I mean this is just an idea of course. And you can add kitchens to the foods as a feature. I mean Italien kitchen, Chines kitchen etc. And make a day called Chinese day. That day chefs can only cook Chines food. People likes to see their traditional food in game. I mean I would love if I could see "Kebap or Lahmacun". This makes this game fun. You can also add a restaurant part where we can see some customers and these customers can get much more when our fame gets higher. Also we can decorate the restaurant part. I knew you will probably add new recipes so I am not going to get into that. If you want you can get contact with me or give me a way to contact with you so I can share my thoughts with you easily because I really loved the idea behind it. I am a student who studies digital game design so I would love to learn from you and share you my ideas. This game has a lot of potential. Hope it will be a successful game.

Also you can make vegan recipes :) I mean adding as a new feature I will think on that how to implement that to game.

from the first 30 seconds of playing, mouse smoothing. sure it makes it nicer to look at but just painful to play.

I have one suggestion:
PLEASE get rid of that weird Mouse Smoothing/Trackball feeling. At least make an option to disable it!
Everytime I move the mouse it feels like Im moving a trackball, theres a small delay until the cursor gets up to speed and when you suddenly stop the cursor will not stop but slow down instead.

I noticed this in some of your other games aswell I think and its obnoxious. Makes me feel like the game lags but its not. Fast and accurate movements are not possible.

My PC is pretty beefy and the game runs well over 100 fps on Ultra, VSync On/Off makes no difference, I have a GSYNC monitor anyways, it seems like this is an intentional 'feature'?

Mouse smoothig is actually an important element of design. Cooking Simulator is not an FPS game and mouse movement is there to make sure that physics works properly. We'll see what we can do to make CS a better experience for you. :)

I love the game so far but...

1- Game shut down itself for no reason (happened once for now).
2- You can move your character but can't pick up anything (you have to force close the game and you will lose your progress).
3- Sometime a "certain" food (in my case was a pumpkin in a pot) dropped my fps from 80 to 1 (solved by trashing away that ingredient).

Overall Issue:
Bad optimization at all
