I think it's always been a possibility. That said, Konami might be reeling from MG Survive's backlash despite having pretty much the entire old Metal Gear team behind it, so the series may be on hiatus for a while.

I don't think DMC HD changes anything though, as this is a Capcom IP-- not Konami. I'd love to see it here, though!

Well, it's still a surprise though to see a HD collection like this come to Steam in first place. So, this title should definitely open the floodgates for more (non-console exclusive) collections like this...

Nobody can tell, it's owned by Konami, and we all know how much they've ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.


That being said, I'd love to see it on PC and consoles. Or even better... A full remaster of the games, similar to Shadow of the Colossus.

We are getting the Crash Bandicoot remaster from PS4, so there's definitely a market for these HD collections right now.

It,s a shame Onimusha never got the same treatment seeing it never had a PS3/Xbox 360
HD treatment i think we will never see them, so it's the emulator route to play them in HD.

It's funny because I literally thought this EXACT thing when installing this. I really wanna play the Original MGS games, but I just like gaming on a PC more.

If you have a last gen console, the remaster on Xbox 360/PS3 was pretty good. It's a lot closer to this though, 720p60 with a few minor complications here and there (specifically, there's a few cutscenes in 3 where the framerate completely tanks).

I hope Konami will give us a GOG/Steam release of the original game, at the very least. MGS 1 and 2 already have PC ports, despite the fact that 2's port is infamously bad and 1's port probably has loads of compatibility issues on Windows 10.
