"Your map differs from the server's"
While playing co-op with a friend, the message "your map differs from the server's" showed up, and we couldn't keep playing. This way, there is no way we can proceed in co-op mode. We also noticed that this message only showed up to the one playing as P-Body... I also know that this has happened to other players. Anyone has any idea on how to fix this issue? I would very much appreciate it.

atlas is always the host (server)

are one of you playing lan, steam offline or pirated ver?

with community coop maps, portals dlcmanager should download the lastest ver of the map before the client connects

We were playing onlline, not on LAN, and it was not a pirated ver.. And we were playing the standard co-op mode, not the the community maps.

In case of one not being updated, how do we update it?

from library
right click on portal 2 -> properties -> local files tab
verify integrity of game cache

it will update any files needed
