My gripe with the over 9999 achievement [Resolved]
I assumed that when I reached the end of the game, I could hit Escape, pick New game and continue from where I left off. I was wrong. After 3 full playthroughs I'm still under 3k. Can someone explain to me what I'm doing wrong?

Your distance should be accumulated over multiple playthroughs and, using checkpoints also. Means, the counter in your vehicle should always have the old max state you left off anywhere - so it actually is only ever increasing, and never lower than before. As soon as you reachd the 9999 you pop the achievement.

If this is not happening (that the number in the vehicle is alway your your last max value) whenever you reload a checkpoint or start a new game, something is bugged out definitely. Maybe an AVP is blocking a local file to be saved properly, or the Steam installed files of the games are defective (use the repair function or delete and reinstlal the game again).

There is a certain chapter in which you can travel a very long distance by engine and sail (use both to be superfast) and reload the checkpoint over and over again to quickly get the achievement.

I guess it bugged out. That's annoying.
It reset me back to 0 again! I was just coming up to 7k and now I'm at 0. I have just windows default antivirus, I don't understand why this is happening. At this point I give up. The only achievement I don't have and now I won't for the foreseeable unless someone knows how to cheat the number.
Accept friend request.
After sending Okomotive a support request they sent me a link to an easy fix, so I'm gonna mark this as resolved. Also thanks to Lord Darth for their help too.

Is there a way to fix this issue. I also had my counter reset to 0 and I really don't want to try to do it again just for it to reset.
