New Rush Duel Forbidden & Limited List Update!
A small update to the Rush Duel Forbidden & Limited List was just announced, and it removes three Limited 3 cards from the list. That means you’ll be able to use up to 3 copies of these cards in your Deck alongside other Limited 3 Rush Duel cards. Take a look at the three Limited 3 cards that are no longer on the Forbidden & Limited List, and see how this change may impact Deck construction in Rush Duels!

1.) Steel Steed Martin Vainari

Steel Steed Martin Vainari is a Level 7 EARTH Machine with 2400 ATK and 1700 DEF. Its effect lets you toss a coin a number of times equal to the number of face-up monsters on the opponent’s field. If you toss 1, 2, or 3 heads, Steel Steed Martin Vainari can attack twice. If you get 3 heads, it also inflicts piercing damage. If your opponent has 2 or more monsters on the field, there’s a good chance you’ll get at least 1 heads and your Steel Steed Martin Vainari be able to attack twice, allowing it to tear through your opponent’s field of monsters. The 1 in 8 chance of getting 3 heads while your opponent has 3 monsters on the field is just a small bonus to Steel Steed Martin Vainari’s effect.

Steel Steed Martin Vainari works well with the Cointech Breakthrough Skill, which works with Decks built around EARTH Machines. This Skill can be activated during the turn you tossed a coin. Using the Skill will increase your Steel Steed Martin Vainari’s ATK by 500, making its attacks more devastating to your opponent. The removal of Steel Steed Martin Vainari from the Limited 3 List will allow Duelists to choose other Limited 3 cards to use in their Decks built around the Cointech Breakthrough Skill, giving those Decks some added power.

2.) Blue-Eyes Bright Dragon

Blue-Eyes Decks got a boost for Rush Duels in the latest Forbidden & Limited List update! Blue-Eyes Bright Dragon is a key card in Blue-Eyes Decks, and its removal from the Forbidden & Limited List will allow Duelists using it to choose other Limited 3 cards to play in their Decks. Blue-Eyes Bright Dragon’s name becomes Blue-Eyes White Dragon while it’s in the hand, and its effect lets you send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard to change its name to Blue-Eyes White Dragon and increase its ATK by 500. Since Blue-Eyes Bright Dragon has 2500 ATK to start, this effect will raise its ATK to 3000 so that it mirrors the stats of Blue-Eyes White Dragon. In addition, if you use Blue-Eyes Bright Dragon’s effect while you have a face-up Legend Normal Monster like Blue-Eyes White Dragon on the field, you can also destroy a face-up Level 8 or lower monster on your opponent’s field. The removal of Blue-Eyes Bright Dragon from the Limited 3 List helps to improve Blue-Eyes Decks that use the Blue-Eyes Reign Archive Skill by making room for other Limited 3 cards.

3.) Illusion Strike Dragon Miragias

Illusion Strike Dragon Miragias is a Level 7 Dragon with an effect that you can activate by sending a Level 7 or higher Dragon from your hand to the Graveyard. Miragias will reduce the ATK of up to 2 Level 7 or lower monsters on your opponent’s field by 1500 for the rest of the turn. Plus, during the turn you use Illusion Strike Dragon Miragias’s effect, if it destroys a monster by battle, it can make a second attack on a monster during that same Battle Phase. Illusion Strike Dragon Miragias has 2500 ATK, can significantly weaken up to 2 monsters on the field, and is able to attack two monsters in one Battle Phase. It’s a powerful card in Dragon Decks, and the removal of its Limited 3 status may help Dragon Decks become more competitive in PvP Dueling.

The latest Forbidden & Limited List update for Rush Duels removes the Limited 3 status on some powerful cards that haven’t recently been popular at the top levels of competitive Rush Dueling. That will allow Decks that use these cards to also include powerful Limited 3 cards that fit the Deck’s theme or powerful Limited 3 tech cards like Ghost Cyclone. The new Forbidden & Limited List update takes effect on November 26th, so be sure to adjust your Decks for this new update!
