Valfaris is an excellent metroidvania that strikes an even line between the two games. Really enjoy the heavy metal soundtrack that offsets the science fiction setting and pairs closer to the body horror elements of the game. My only complaint is that this game is much easier to play with a controller than a keyboard and mouse, but that was likely a stylistic choice of the devs. I'd be interested to see what they produce in the future.

Great concept of a game, it could be fun, it looks like a lot of fun.
BUT, unless you want to spend hours forgetting everything you know about PC gaming, control schemes, the buttons where things should do stuff, and replace that with the uniquely moronic controls of this one indie game, don't bother playing.
Tried this out, even remapped the controls, the aiming mechanic in this game might be the worst I have ever experienced in any game, ever.
There are games that are challenging but fun, then there's games that are challenging but not fun, this is the latter.
Trying this game out feels like a colossal waste of my time, and I absolutely have to write something here in the DO NOT RECOMMEND section in the reviews so I can at least warn others of what a waste of time this is.
