Hi,
Are you playing in windowed mode or fullscreen, and what's your resolution? Also, are you using Direct3D11 (standard) or Direct3D9?

Also, does the problem persist after creating a new character and generating a new dungeon?

I've got the same issue.
in Direct3D11 and also Direct3D9, w/ all resolutions.
creating a new char doesn't help eather.

UPD:
My antivirus (COMODO) was the problem. This game was counted as an dangerous program.
Just turn off your antivirus or get it off blacklist.

That's really odd. Thank you for the info. I'm going to have to look into what it is about the game that could cause such a problem.

Copy pasting the dev from the FAQ:

I can't seem to hit buttons in the main menu. The clicking position is off.

This issue seems to occur when running the game in full-screen mode on a resolution that has a different aspect ratio than your monitor. You may be able to solve the issue by running the game in Direct 3D 9 mode (launch option in Steam). This may not work on all monitors.
In the interest of all that is holy in visual art you should never run any game or watch any movie stretched to a different aspect ratio as that will make everything look weird and give you eye cancer. Instead select a resolution with the same aspect ratio as your monitor (i.e. a 16:9 resolution on a 16:9 monitor, as opposed to, say, a 4:3 resolution on a 16:9 monitor). Ideally use the native resolution of your monitor.

This is still the problem!

for me its not that the mouse does not work (gamepad works as one would think) its that the mouse is misaligned I had to click much further to the left for it to click any buttons. not sure what a fix would be though.

Change the resolution of the game to the native resolution of your monitor.
