why is trying to play private multiplayer/lan so ridiculously difficult?
title. recently got this game as a gift to play with a family member; we vastly prefer playing privately and doing our own thing as pleased. why is trying to get a lan server working so difficult? neither of us seem to be able to appear online in the pixark lan server list, so we can't play together. our internet is completely fine, we play other games on lan all the time. it's just this game with it's needlessly difficult server setup?

Just come to NA Chaos Skyward 9... I'll give you guys steel tools and some gear to start with and you can come to a safe part of the map. Good community! You will have fun... I promise!

kind offer, but no thank you. again, we prefer playing privately and i understand the lag/ping is also borderline unbearable for some setups if i were to log on to an official server (which would indeed be an issue, as solo single player already causes some lag for my rig). i would really just like the lan hosting system to work as it's meant to.
