No sound
anyone else have this issue? just got it but in VR mode no sound whatsoever. Don't want to refund it, been looking forward to playing this. Now I'm just frustrated, haven't had this problem with any other game.

Hey guys, I recently solve it!!! And it's the most ridiculous/wtf issue I have seen.

You only have to go to the Oculus Menu. And there, you must go to the Virtual desktop, and go to the icon game and click on it. With this, the audio will appear again.

I will try to make this in a video and send to you if you want.

Regards.

I dislike steam home so I always start through virtual desktop anyways : ( can't be the problem for me. Weird that it fixes it for you but not me. I tried again, still no sound.

Hey, might not be helpful at this point but in the non-VR version I've sometimes had no audio. What I had to do was hold rewind on the game for a while (lmao) - for me the problem was that the game needed to "buffer" so the audio files could load in time.

Hi, did you manage to solve the problem?

Yeah this is strange, I played for an hour or two yesterday in VR and it was totally fine and then today there's just no sound at all. Do you guys have any troubleshooting tips?

edit: actually nm, simple PC restart cleaned it up. should have tried that first.

I did not, and then I broke my Oculus so I won't be able to troubleshoot anymore

I got no sound, and the Index controllers weren't working, so I just refunded it.

I have to open it once trough virtual desktop = no sound, then I close it and then I open it again = with sound. Don't know why, but this way it works for me! Great game so far, one of my best VR experiences yet!!

I've noticed that if I start Meta Quest Link and then start Stem VR the game runs but no sound. Starting Steam Link First and then the game it crashes every time. 2D runs fine with sound launched from Steam. I'm going to try the Virtual Desktop option and will get back with results: Launching from within Virtual Desktop loaded Steam VR Stencil Background and no menu in my VR headset WITH GAME SOUND...But the game visuals were on my 2D screen. Launch it with Play in steam VR as a launch option puts the Video properly in the headset but again no sound.

At Last!! I have success. First after installing the Virtual Desktop app, open settings on your Windows PC, Select Sound. Then scroll down to All Sound Devices. I selected Virtual Desktop which was Disabled and Enabled it. I believe this has to be done every time you open Virtual Desktop Streamer.

I then launched Virtual Desktop followed by the Steam 2D app. Went to Library, Selected The Invisible Hours, Then the gear (settings wheel) selected Properties and set the Launch Option to "Launch The Invisible Hours in Steam VR"

Finally I ran the game and it launched without sound, but when I closed the game and returned to Virtual Desktop there was an error on screen about blocked featurs for Steam VR. I Enabled all of these and relaunched the game through Steam and sound worked!

I've Found that the Virtual Desktop sound device must be enabled each tim and I've had to Unblock the Steam VR components more than once.
Hope this helps!
