I just played the game for about an hour or so, now i have unlocked ranked but there is only 3v3 ?

The game has barely enough people to play 1v1, do i have to play ranked at specific times to get a better chance ?(if anyone plays ranked at all)

Im still new to this game so my rank might just be too low compared to everyone else, so far i have been searching for a game for around 10+ minutes.
