There really isn't any connection except for the player's name. And comparing the looks of the player model, White Gold could only be a prequel to Boiling Point, not the other way around :)!

So it's the same protagonist, but he looks younger?

I just wasn't sure if I was missing anything significant by skipping Boiling Point. I tried it years ago but didn't care much for it. I haven't tried Xenus 2 yet, but it looks more refined. I just finished installing it.

Also, this version doesn't need any additional patches, right?

No, the Unofficial Patch for White Gold is older and fixed more things than the one for BP.

i personally think its a sequel and saul meyers was stressed when his daughter was missing, now that she is safe and sound his hair grew back.

What happened to the australian voice overs in the intro? That sounded 100x better than the voice added by the unofficial patch no offense

The voice overs in the patch are fan-made, but are closer to the original text.
