It's far more complicated.
To get the "Rodion Execution" you have to do the following:
1. Accept the offer
2. Help Rodion out
3. Fail the QTE during the first confrontation with Ivan.
"I knew you were coming, you sunuvab!tch" one
Then you'll get one more choice. To get the "Rodion Execution" simply betray him :)
ATtY was our first field project, so I know that the game has a few flaws.
Like FMV and Gameplay are kinda unbalanced in a few points in game.
Thankfully, in the next update (which we're testing right now) we've made FASTFORWARD a little bit faster.
I still have to learn "how does one use community hub", so I'm sorry if I spoiled it too much :P
Ah, better! I was really trying to find out if FFW could be done x16 or so ^^ Is it actually x8 speed right now? Curious....
As for spoilers: it's okay, no harm done ;-)
Btw: since I'm talking to the director of ATtY - honored (and nice support btw!) - can you maybe give me a hint or two regarding the Bleeding Out ending + There's still hope?
> Bleeding Out: even if I don't choose and pick up a bandage, I get endings where Dimitry uses a bandage = confusing me = probably not causing me to bleed to death :P
> There's still hope: I don't have a clue at all and might as well go along paths I haven taken, again....I went through the VHS at least 15x Life of a completioner can be a b----
It gave us a hard time during the original release of ATtY on GameJolt. It had six endings back then. The FASTFORWARD in this version is x2, if I remember correctly. We couldn't make it faster. Thankfully, Unity updated a bunch of things video player related, so in theory we could speed up FASTFORWARD up to x5. The problem is that when we do that everything glitches out.
So FASTFORWARD x3 is the best we're going to get :/
I'm trying my best :)
And c'mon, it's not like I'm director lvl 9000. I'm just an 18 years old guy who got lucky :P
Time for a few hints :D
Bleeding out:
1. Kill everyone the most lethal way possible. Spare no one. Remember that in the first choice (after the tutorial) you have to choke the guard to death (left option) and during the outpost fight, go for the frontal attack instead of taking them by surprise.
2. Don't take the shovel.
3. Choose to take food instead of battle supplies.
There's still hope a.k.a True ending:
1. Spare everyone (note: You have to knock out the first guard with his gun)
2. You need everything that you can take with you throughout the game.
(You definitely need shovel for this)
3. Try to avoid fights. If you have to choose, knock everyone out.
4. During the outpost fight, you have to take them out quietly.
Yeah, life of a completioner. The only platinum I have is from Heavy Rain.
As for the glitching phenomenon: I was already familiar with it due my (old) media streaming device, that didn't like FFW that much either; processing capabilities...
To me it doesn't really matter if you're 18, director lvl 9,000 or whatever; if I respect a game production, I respect the devs, designers etc. thus being able to feel honored to get some nice support ;-)
Game has a lot of replay value, but after approx. 15 playthroughs, getting a little tired :D
Bleeding out: interesting! Maybe I did it right, but took the shovel in one of my playthroughs...
There's still hope: sounds like the antonym of 'Bleeding Out' :D I'll report back. Thanks in advance!
PS Heavy Rain? Definitely looks interesting, although it's console only, right? Checked some of the vid and there's some "Jason!" on my mind now
Thanks for the tips :)
1 more thing: I haven't unlocked all extras yet and I see that 4 endings are grayed out, although I have been there, done that...save related? I have used more save slots...So I guess, I have to replay 4x more?
Yeah, Heavy Rain was released on PS3 only, but it's one of the most memorable interactive experiences. Quantic Dream and David Cage did a good job on this one. You can get like 20 endings. 5 for each character, so yeah. A lot of replay value in there. Especially since characters can die and if they do, the story continues without them, which is pretty interesting.
If we're talking about "There's still hope":
It doesn't matter which supplies you'll choose. You will be able to take them both as long as you have the shovel with you
Yep, it's save related. If you want to get the final achievement for the game, you have to unlock and see everything on one save slot :)
That sounds like a game I should definitely recommend to anyone with a PS3 in their hands ;-) I really start to love this decision-making concept, I experienced in this text-based adventure as well :) (can I offer you a copy as a Thank You btw? I loved it!)
There's still hope: yeah, makes sense, because I was picking up ammo in the P-'N-C section later on ;-)
I think I've got the patience to unlock everything; shouldn't be a problem :)
Well, Quantic Dream and TellTale Games are doing an awesome job in creating that kind of experiences, although if you're aiming in the varieties of paths I recommend Quantic Dream (Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls). Telltale is good as well, but they're mainly focused on creating an illusion of choice. On the bright side, Telltale Games managed to get me into this kind of gaming scene thanks to their scenarios/scriptwriting talents.
Nah, I don't want anything :)
Keep it for someone else :D
Good luck then!
Thanks for the suggestions! As for Telltale Games; I played the Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures[en.wikipedia.org] series a couple of years ago; purely Point 'N Click - which I'm not always into - but this series was quite good and pretty much a fan of Clay animation and Wallace & Gromit in particular.
You're right about the 'illusion of choice', since in this series there was actually mostly 1 good answer ;-)
Fair enough! :)
So, long story short...pfff: had no trouble unlocking all extras + viewing them all, but I'm now stuck on 'Thanks for playing'. I compared the achievement unlock count in-game vs. in-Steam, and there were many differences on 1 slot. Finally minimized to 1 missing in-game, which is 'Survival Instinct'....but question is: do I need to bother unlock this one again (in-game), being it related to the 'Thanks for playing'-achievement or am I missing something else..something beyond the other achievements?
For ex. I have clicked a lot on the trees in the forest > dialogue + clicked a lot on the helicopter > dialogue....even receiving a text along the lines: "No achievement for this...blabla" ;-) So, pff...I don't know anymore. I just hope it's save slot related. If so, could you sum up every decision that will get me killed, so that I don't have to spend too much time replaying again? I think I got this one pretty quick after starting playing this game, so if I remember correctly, not QTE related. I didn't die at all until I decided it was needed for completion ;-)
Eh, thanks in advance once again :)
If my memory serves me right you have to take the shovel to get all of death scenes in one go. Here's how:
1. Take the shovel and choose to run instead of sneaking.
2. During the food supply run, go through the main door. Don't look through the window.
3. In the ammo and bandages run, wait in the bushes instead of finding the other way around.
I hope I hadn't forgot anything here :P
Hmmm, my memory actually tells me that I have made those decisions for this save file/slot, but maybe not in one go this time...darn ;-)
I must confirm if your memory is still working without errors On it...
Thanks again! Review will be up soon.
Cheers!
Hopefully you'll like our next project as well :)
