Life is Strange 2 is a tale of two brothers whose life is turned upside-down at the some point of their lives and they had to stay together to survive. You can be a good brother or a bad brother, you can be a friend to him or act like a parent. Your choices matter.
This game brings a lot of story with character development contents, great graphics and enjoyable soundtrack. You should play this, it's good. I don't know why some people that adored the first one are cold on this, but it's just as good.

This game has many flaws, and no, it's not as good as the first one. But it's still great overall, and definitely worth a playthrough.

The biggest problem with this game is that they tried to do too many things and moved you around too much. Every time you get attached to the supporting cast, it changes entirely in the next episode. The first 2 episodes are so boring it's almost unbearable. If this game didn't release episodes months apart I think it would've been much better received because I think a lot of people quit before it got good. Episode 3 finally lets you stick around with an interesting cast... only to keep you moving to place after place in the next 2 episodes. Although they are at least interesting episodes.

Now with that being said, I will tell you why this game is still great. Your choices actually matter. At least more than usual in Life Is Strange. Even the small choices. Without spoiling too much, there is basically a hidden karma system. Every choice you make adds or deducts points from it. Many parts of the story change based on it, and it makes for a wider variety of solid endings.

The rewind mechanic from Life Is Strange 1 added a layer of depth to the game that I don't think can ever be recreated or outdone in this franchise. Not to mention you stayed in one town and got 5 episodes to know the same characters. But Life Is Strange 2 is a different game with the same name. If you stop comparing it to Life Is Strange 1 and take it for what it is, it's a fun ride.

Definitely worth playing.
