the audience is pretty split on that, best to just play it and make up your own mind. if you're not ready to commit, I believe episode 1 is available for free

Just finished my playthrough. I really did like it.

Bad sounds and the picture stutters at the beginning. Doesn't give a very good picture of the game. The game loads reasonably well, but the first "movie" of the episode is too long. Can't bear to look and can't pass it by. The picture and sounds are jerky with Nvidia's Vulkan drivers. I had to drop the frames to 60 and turn the settings down from the default setting. You can't adjust these at the beginning. You'd think this would work without a hitch. 22 minutes and didn't even get to play. Will this ever be tried again?

I haven't tried the game yet because this first movie scene is just too long.

It's painful to say this but I could not get through it. It's a slog to play through. I couldn't connect with any of the characters. Not as good as the first Life is Strange. This is like 4/10. LiS is 10/10

drama for drama's sake, plot twists for plot twists sake, clichée characters and I have no clue wtf the game wants from me

I would highly suggest playing it, I played a tiny bit of number one a few years ago. Which lead to me wanting this one. Probably one of the best story games I've ever played. I also have a bias, of being able to partially relate to the main characters.
