Title's pretty self-explanatory. I crash whenever I try to enter the factory after forming the squad.

Also, whenever I load up the game, the guy from the front of the factory goes into his dialogue where he says 'Here at this factory, we make happy kid. It's the happiest kid of all' etc.

One thing you can do is right click the game in your steam library > properties > BETAS tab > and select the branch "old-reliable"

This will install an older version of the game, missing some fixes and improvements, but for whatever reason it seems to not crash at that part of the game for some users (the code is the same as far as I know--lol). Once you're past the end of Act 4, you can go back to the normal branch.

The scene select code can also be used to bypass that scene: http://wanderso.ng/support

Same here. On mac get the same error and all. I'm softlocked right now because of it
I'm also getting this game-breaking bug. I'm still on macOS 10.14.5 Mojave, so the issues with macOS 10.15 Catalina dropping support for 32-big apps isn't the issue.
I have the same issue, it's quite frustrating. Are there backup saves stored anywhere in the game?

Thankfully there's a scene select code that lets you go back to earlier in the chapter. Just avoid the factory until you've got the Astromer and everyone ready?
