Clicking on items in retail stores does not change selected item immediately

So I have been playing this game (bought on another storefront because I missed the sale here), and while I have been enjoying it, there is a small quirk that wasn't present in the original. When I open a retail store and choose a different item than the one shown, the game doesn't show me the new item immediately, but I have to get out of the store and then enter again.
