god I wish there was a way to get this

Normal Portal runs on Mac, but the latest version of Steam no longer runs on versions older than OS X 10.15 or so I think.

Yeah, it'd just be cool to run Portal under this game name.
I wonder if it'd be possible to get it working on older macOS since the new Steam Client is just a glorified website wrapper

No experience with Mac but you'll need to have an older version of Steam already installed on at least another machine where you can copy it from and use it after blocking updates, that works, if you don't already have a compatible version you're out of luck, only the UI is a browser, all the backend stuff for downloads and DRM is still native but you won't be able to open Steam at all if the browser version it uses is incompatible with the OS you're trying to run it on.
