I've been tryiung for at least 10 hours, it's just so hard

It really shows its one of your eariler games. The default controls are awful.... (why can i only bind menu keys to already existing keys) I cant scroll over to see what things do when i try and pick them...which also feels really bad. Not to mention im given like no info. I may end up passing on this, not sure yet...

It happened at least twice already. The jewel haunt room had a pedestal in it, but the pedestal had no jewel on its top, preventing me from entering the mausoleum thingy. Kinda annoying when it's the only room not goldified in a cubicus. :/ Is there a thing one could do to prevent the jewel from spawning?
